About date and walnut cake

The date and walnut cake is traditional eaten bread in Britain. The dates and walnut cake is made up of dates and walnut . But is traditionally from Scotland . It is eaten with tea or coffee. It is easily available in every bakeries restaurant, cafe, marts , supermarket . It is very soft and light cake. The date and walnut cake famous in December on occasion on Christmas. Now date and walnut cake is made globally. The Recipe of every country is different. After bake the colour of bread become brown.  It is made up of dates , walnut , milk , sugar , butter , egg , flour , baking soda, baking powder , vanilla essence , cake gel. The date and walnut cake looks tasty . It can be served both warm and cold. Some people adds rum in date and walnut cake. It can be stored  many day’s.

Ingredients:- dates , walnut , milk , sugar , butter , egg , flour , baking soda, baking powder , vanilla essence , cake gel.

Recipe:- 

Dates:-          250gm

Milk:-            350 gm

Sugar:-          425 gm

Butter:-         200 gm

Egg:-              6 nos

Flour:-          300 gm

Walnut:-        80 gm

Cake gel:-      20 gm

Baking soda:-       10 gm

Baking powder:- 15 gm

Vanilla essence:-  8 gm

Process of making:- 

• First chopped date and walnut , and take in a bowl add 20 -25 gm of flour and mix.

Step1:- First put sugar and butter in stand mixer or planetary mixer and mix until sugar mixed in butter then add egg one by one and then add milk and cake gel and mix .

Step2:- Now put flour , baking powder , baking soda , dates and walnut, and mix well.

Step3:- When all ingredients mixed well , and batter become ready , then fill the batter in paper mold and garnish with chopped dates and walnut.

Step4:- Now bake the cake in preheated oven at 175⁰c for 30-35 minutes.

Note:-  After 30 minutes check the cake by using toothpick , if batter come with toothpick then bake few minutes and if toothpick comes clean . Then remove the cake from oven and cool. Eat warm or cold.
